An engaging and meaningful bible study program for young adults ages 18-35, focusing on the Book of Exodus and its foundation to our Catholic Christian faith and spiritual life.
Young Adult Bible Study
Open to young adults from ages 18 to 35 every Wednesday from 8:00pm to 9:30pm. We study the Word of God as revealed to us in the Bible through the lens of modern biblical scholarship and Catholic theological perspective. The goal is to arrive at a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through his Word, the Eucharist, and Christian fellowship with other young adults. At the moment, we are studying the Gospel of Matthew because, in this Liturgical Year A (2025-2026), the Catholic Church invites us deepen our relationship with Jesus Christ through the reading and reflecting on this Gospel. We meet at the Valdocco Youth Center (2441 N. Menard Ave). On the first Wednesday of each month, we gather at the adjacent St. James the Apostle Church (5730 W. Fullerton Ave) for Eucharistic Adoration with confession at 8pm and then have a social hour of fellowship with other young adults. This weekly program is bilingual in English and Spanish. Joven Adulto Estudio de Biblia
Abierto a jóvenes adultos de 18 a 35 años todos los miércoles de 8:00 p.m. a 9:30 p.m. Estudiamos la Palabra de Dios tal como se nos revela en la Biblia a través del lente de la erudición bíblica moderna y la perspectiva teológica católica. El objetivo es llegar a una relación más profunda con Jesucristo a través de su Palabra, la Eucaristía y la comunión cristiana con otros jóvenes adultos. En estos momentos estamos estudiando el Evangelio de Mateo porque, en este Año Litúrgico A (2025-2026), la Iglesia católica nos invita a profundizar en nuestra relación con Jesucristo a través de la lectura y la reflexión sobre este Evangelio. Nos reunimos en el Valdocco Youth Center (2441 N. Menard Ave). El último miércoles de cada mes, nos reunimos en la iglesia adyacente de St. James (5730 W. Fullerton Ave) para la Adoración Eucarística con confesión a las 8 p.m. y luego tenemos una hora social de comunión con otros jóvenes adultos. Este programa semanal es bilingüe en inglés y español.
